Short-to-Medium term support for needy families to cope with household basic needs such as meals, transport and bills. Arrears, outstanding loans, other non-essential expenses will not be taken into consideration.  

  • Applicant should tap on existing government resources (eg. ComCare Assistance) as first recourse.

Short-to-Medium term support for HIV patients for their medication expenses. 

  • Applicant should tap on existing resources from government (eg. Medifund) as first recourse.

3-month interim funding for patients who are undergoing dialysis at private dialysis centre while waiting for long-term subsidized placement.

6-month funding for dementia or frail seniors who require daytime care and supervision, when their family members are at work or if they require some time off from their caregiving role. 

  • Applicant should tap on existing government subsidies and charitable funding from service provider as first recourse.

One-year transport fee assistance to enable frail patients 

  1. who require taxi, wheelchair-friendly transport or ambulance support to and fro dialysis centre.
  2. who are not eligible of AIC MET assistance for medical appointments.

Collaboration with hospitals to enable needy PR or foreigner mothers to attend regular antenatal checks throughout the course of the pregnancy in order to reduce the risk of potential health issues due to financial constraints.

Short-to-Medium term support for needy families to cope with recurring medical consumables.

  • All applications for medical consumables require submission of medical memo, except for diapers.
  • Applicant should tap on existing government resources (eg. SMF, PA Secondary tier Assistance, etc) as first recourse.

Short-to-Medium term funding for needy family to cope with education/childcare fees.

  • Applicant should tap on existing government subsidies as first recourse.

This scheme provides needs-based home improvements for low-income and vulnerable households whose living conditions pose safety or health risks, helping restore basic habitability and dignity.

Things to Note:

  • Referrals will be reviewed based on household needs, risks, and feasibility of intervention.
  • Applicants should first tap on available government schemes (eg. EASE) where applicable.
  • Where works are approved, coordination and implementation will be arranged through Tzu Chi–appointed vendors.

This scheme supports vulnerable households whose living environments pose safety or hygiene risks, through needs-based decluttering or cleaning support.

Things to Note:

  • Referrals will be reviewed based on household needs, risks, and feasibility of intervention.
  • The houseowner’s and household members’ readiness and willingness to participate in decluttering will be prioritised.
  • Due to high demand, referrals are prioritised based on urgency and capacity, and a waiting period may apply.
